Acclaimed upon being previewed at Cersaie 2019, Queen is the new support from the DPS Flooring collection. Made for raised flooring with a fixed head, Queen has already become known for its reliability, practicality, resistance and versatility.
Queen is characterised by the exclusive system of triple polypropylene pre-cut tabs, with three different thicknesses (2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm) equipping the bi-material head, with the latter being produced in anti-noise and anti-slip rubber with high heat resistance.
The exclusive triple-tab system is able to meet all laying requirements with a single type of head, without variables linked to the width of the joint. This renders it possible to simplify warehouse stock and procurement phases.
The system is designed to form joints of various widths (2, 3 or 4 mm), removing the tabs of unnecessary thicknesses on the spot, if necessary. For example, the support comes ready for laying 4 mm joints, hence for 3 mm joints, simply remove the 4 mm tabs and for 2 mm joints, remove the two wider tabs. The removal operation is simple and fast, done either manually or using common pliers, thanks to the pre-incision on the tabs..
The Queen support comes with a fixed head and a minimum elevation height of just 21 mm, reaching a maximum extension of 234 mm without the use of extensions. The range of the support screw overlaps with the following or prior extent, offering ease of adjustment especially when changing the support model.
Thanks to the high-quality polypropylene with which it is produced, along with the reinforced base and the very large screw diameter, Queen offers a greater load capacity than the average commercially-available support. The Queen support is guaranteed for 5 years.
Yet the Queen’s innovation does not stop there—its most striking feature is the additional Queen Plus component that transforms the Queen from a fixed support into a self-levelling device, with a tilting head capable of compensating for slopes in the substrate of up to 5%. Exclusive in its simplicity, practical to use, the Queen Plus element (sold separately) is fitted beneath the Queen head to render it tilting. In the Queen Plus self-levelling version, the Queen supports offer an extension starting from 28 mm with the QP1 up to 241 mm with the QP5.
The Queen supports are designed to meet the needs of customers seeking fixed elements without movement; this simple technical aspect means the Queen is cheaper than the King model. The Queen Plus accessory then came about in the pursuit of a simple technique in a cheaper product which, fitted beneath the Queen head, is able to transform the support from fixed to self-levelling, thus preventing the need to stock both self-levelling and fixed supports.
